When Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was imprisoned, Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress party, is said to have sent a letter to the star and his wife Gauri Khan. According to sources acquainted with the issue, Gandhi expressed his support for SRK and Gauri and said that it was difficult to witness a loved one in "such a scenario." According to reports, Rahul wrote to SRK and Gauri, encouraging them to take comfort in the idea that "the truth cannot be kept prisoner for long." Aryan was taken into custody by the NCB on October 3 in connection with an alleged narcotics offense. He was freed on bond after spending almost a month in custody awaiting his trial.
