Elon Musk claimed the first civilian crew of SpaceX experienced 'challenges' with the toilet, and he vowed to improve the next trip.

According to Elon Musk's Twitter account, SpaceX intends to improve the facilities on its next space tourist trip, including the toilet.

The Inspiration4 crew, which consists of four civilian astronauts, launched into orbit on Wednesday aboard SpaceX's Crew Dragon spaceship, according to NASA. They returned to the surface of the planet on Saturday evening.

After meeting with the crew in person in Florida on Monday, Elon Musk took to Twitter to address questions from followers about the company's plans for the company's next mission, which will be launched in 2018.

Musk responded to a user's question by stating that the following trip will feature "upgraded bathrooms." "We had some difficulties with it on this trip," he said.

The billionaire did not go into detail about the difficulties he was facing or how the toilets will be renovated specifically.

One of the passengers on Inspiration4, Jared Isaacman, revealed to Insider in July that the toilet for Crew Dragon was situated on the spacecraft's ceiling and had a glass dome, allowing crew members to have a 360-degree view while using the restroom.

"It does not provide a great deal of privacy. However, you do have a privacy curtain that runs over the top of the ship, which allows you to kind of isolate yourself from the rest of the crew "Isaacman expressed himself.

Isaacman went on to say that learning to use the bathroom aboard the spaceship was part of the rigorous pre-flight training that the civilian astronauts underwent.

.

Furthermore, Musk said that the next trip will have a tiny oven for cooking meals, as well as WiFi supplied by Starlink, SpaceX's satellite-internet initiative.

The crew of the Inspiration4 mission ate cold pizza throughout the mission's three-day journey. While in orbit, the astronauts had the opportunity to speak with Musk and actor Tom Cruise.
