WhatsApp has released an explanation on why some users are noticing changes in their security codes, stating that the modifications are being made to ensure that a planned feature of the service operates as smoothly as possible.
WhatsApp was reacting to a user who had reported that his WhatsApp security code had changed when he woke up unexpectedly one morning and realized he had forgotten it.
"In fact, neither my WhatsApp nor my phone has been reinstalled or upgraded. The same thing occurred to my buddy as well. We're both iPhone users, as you can tell. I attempted to contact two or three other iPhone users but received no response. I'm apprehensive, "He sent out a tweet.
"This is anticipated during the early deployment phases of our new multi-device feature," said the app in response to the question. "By doing so, you can use WhatsApp on up to four linked devices without having to connect your phone to the internet."
WhatsApp promised customers that their communications will be kept private and protected at all times.
"Every time you send a message, you can rest certain that it is safe and encrypted from beginning to finish. We'll be releasing improvements in the near future that will enhance the security code experience "It was said.
