On Tuesday, the 244th Corps Commanders Conference was conducted at the General Headquarters, during which the forum took notice of harmful propaganda being spread by the Indian military and discussed it with the army commander, according to an announcement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of the Army Staff, presided over the meeting.
It is the army chief's observation that "the false propaganda simply reflects their dissatisfaction and an effort to distract attention away from their own inconsistencies, including grave human rights abuses being perpetrated in India-occupied Kashmir."
During the meeting, participants emphasized their determination to take all necessary steps to protect Pakistan's territorial integrity.
According to the military's media wing, a thorough assessment of the developing security situation in the area was carried out, with a special emphasis on border control and internal security, among other things.
As reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations, the conference was "aware of the steps being taken to counter malicious intentions of hostile elements to destabilize Pakistan and undermine the hard-won peace and stability."
According to the conference, there is an "emerging humanitarian and security crisis in Afghanistan," and it concludes that "meaningful involvement and ongoing assistance by the international community is essential for paving the path for peace and stability in Afghanistan and the greater region."
General Bajwa praised the operational readiness of formations as well as the emphasis placed on training, which included increased cooperation with foreign armies and the execution of joint exercises in the operational and counter-terrorism domains, among other things.
