THE CITY OF CUPERTINO, CA Apple unveiled the iPhone 13 Pro & iPhone 13, Pro Max, today, pushing the limits of what a smartphone can do. Both models include an all-new Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, which has an adjustable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and makes the touch experience faster and more responsive. The pro camera system receives its most significant upgrade yet, with new Ultra Wide, Wide, and Telephoto cameras that capture breathtaking photographs and video, all powered by the unrivaled performance of the A15 Bionic, which is more powerful than the competition. These technologies offer new photo capabilities never seen before on an iPhone, such as macro shooting on the new Ultra-Wide camera and up to 2.2x enhanced low-light performance on the new Wide camera. Photographic Styles, a new computational photography feature, personalizes the aesthetic of photographs in the Camera app, and Night mode is now available on both models. Beautiful depth-of-field transitions, macro video, Time-lapse and Slo-mo, and even greater low-light capabilities are all available in Cinematic mode. Both versions include Dolby Vision end-to-end pro workflows and, for the first time, ProRes, which is only available on the iPhone.The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max also highlight 5G with more bands for better coverage, significant battery improvements for the best battery life ever on a smartphone with the iPhone 13 Pro Max, a new storage capacity of 1TB, and the Ceramic Shield front cover, which is tougher than any smartphone glass.
Graphite, gold, silver, and the all-new sierra blue will be available on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Pre-orders start on Friday, September 17, and the product will be available on Friday, September 24.

Introducing the iPhone's most advanced cameras to date!
The iPhone 13 Pro series has the greatest camera system ever on iPhone, with new sensors & lenses for all three rear cameras, optimized for iOS 15 plus driven by the new image signal processor (ISP) in A15 Bionic for enhanced noise reduction and tone mapping. The all-new Wide camera features a bigger sensor with 1.9 million pixels, the most ever on an iPhone, which reduces noise and helps in faster shutter speeds in a variety of lighting settings, resulting in even more detailed photographs. As a result of the Wide camera's /1.5 aperture, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max offer up to 2.2x and 1.5x increase in low-light scenarios, respectively. Sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS), which is exclusive to the iPhone, is available on both models. It stabilizes the sensor instead of the lens, so images are smooth and video is stable, even when the user isn't looking at the screen at all times.
In low-light situations, the new Ultra-Wide camera's /1.8 aperture and a new autofocus mechanism result in photographs that are brighter and sharper by 92 percent. Macro photography is now possible on iPhone thanks to a new lens design, autofocus capability for the first time in the Ultra Wide, and improved software. There is a 2-centimeter minimum focus distance, which allows users to capture precise and amazing pictures of their subjects that seem to be much larger than life. Macro is also used in videos, such as Slo-mo and Time-lapse. The new 77 mm Telephoto camera on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max allows users to get closer to their subjects while recording video and capture even more traditionally framed photos, with 3x optical zoom for a total 6x optical zoom range.
Highest Performance in Class with 5-core GPU on A15 Bionic
The A15 Bionic chip in the iPhone 13 Pro series is even more sophisticated, providing great power and efficiency while powering the spectacular new display, camera, and video features that have never been seen before on an iPhone. The A15 Bionic – the fastest chip in a smartphone — includes a new 5-core GPU in the Pro series that delivers the fastest graphics performance in any smartphone, thanks to 5-nanometer technology. Faster than the competition by up to 50%, making it excellent for video apps, high-performance gaming, and a slew of new camera functions. The new 6-core CPU, which features two new high-performance cores and four new high-efficiency cores, outperforms the competition by up to 50% and tackles demanding workloads with ease. Machine learning may now be done even faster thanks to a new 16-core Neural Engine capable of 15.8 trillion operations per second.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be available in graphite, gold, silver, and sierra blue, with storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and a brand-new 1TB.
